On April 25 2023, Raymond Wong, a Senior Cloud Architect, delivered a presentation at the AWS Office in Singapore. Sharing to an audiences of AWS customers on AWS migration framework, migration patterns in enterprises, and share past experiences and use cases of assisting customers in migrating from on-premise environments to AWS. Raymond Wong also provided insights into the process of identifying the initial small-scale workload suitable for migration to AWS.
AWS Migration involves transitioning workloads and applications from on-premises or other cloud environments to Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud. It encompasses planning, assessing infrastructure, selecting migration strategies, ensuring data security and resilience, optimizing costs and resource management, executing the migration process, and maximizing service delivery and operations. The goal is to achieve a seamless transition to AWS, leveraging its tools and services for enhanced scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
